In addition to the upcoming Halo: Combat Evolved remake called Campaign Evolved<\/a>, Microsoft is “definitely” working on remakes of Halo 2 and Halo 3 and they are in “active development,” according to a reputable leaker.<\/p>\n

Rebs Gaming reported this recently<\/a>, adding that these games are moving ahead “regardless of how well Campaign Evolved does.” The reported remakes of Halo 2 and Halo 3 are in “early development,” the report said, as relayed by Eurogamer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

These games, if real, would join a third unannounced Halo game that is said to be a Fortnite-like live-service multiplayer game<\/a>.<\/p>\n

For now, all that’s confirmed is Halo: Campaign Evolved, which releases later this year on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It’s a remake of the 2001 original Halo game, and it’s actually the game’s second updated version, following Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, which released in 2011. A remaster of Halo 2, Halo 2 Anniversary, released in 2014. Halo 3, however, has never been remade or remastered.<\/p>\n

GameSpot has contacted Microsoft seeking comment on this rumor.<\/p>\n

Campaign Evolved includes an updated version of the original game’s campaign, featuring new prequel missions, though there is no multiplayer support. Fans have pieced together clues and deduced that the game could release in<\/p>\n
