Indeed, it\u2019s now above Wii Sports as the third best-selling game ever released.<\/p>\n<p>Red Dead Redemption 2&#8217;s ongoing success only makes Rockstar&#8217;s decision not to release a 60fps patch for the modern console version more baffling. Fans have for some time now called on the developer to update the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S, and despite <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/red-dead-redemption-2-reportedly-set-for-nintendo-switch-2-by-end-of-2025-and-theres-a-rumored-next-gen-upgrade-patch-too\">various rumors that such an upgrade is in the works<\/a>, Red Dead Redemption 2 remains stuck at 30fps on current-gen consoles.<\/p>\n<section data-transform=\"slideshow\" data-slug=\"every-ign-rockstar-game-review-ever\" data-value=\"every-ign-rockstar-game-review-ever\" data-type=\"slug\" data-caption=\"\">\n<p>Meanwhile, Red Dead Online has always lagged behind its counterpart, GTA Online, not just in terms of updates but revenue, leading some fans to wonder what might have been had Rockstar<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All eyes are on GTA 6, but Red Dead Redemption 2 continues its remarkable success, selling more copies in the last year than in any 12-month period since its launch year back in 2018.
