{"id":82201,"date":"2026-05-27T06:08:53","date_gmt":"2026-05-27T10:08:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vgvote.com\/?p=82201"},"modified":"2026-05-27T07:36:58","modified_gmt":"2026-05-27T11:36:58","slug":"the-witcher-3-wild-hunt-minimum-requirements-set-to-change-ahead-of-songs-of-the-past-expansion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vgvote.com\/?p=82201","title":{"rendered":"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Minimum Requirements Set to Change Ahead of Songs of the Past Expansion"},"content":{"rendered":"<section data-transform=\"mobile-ad-break\">\n<p>CD Projekt has signalled changes to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt minimum requirements ahead of the release of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt-songs-of-the-past-expansion-dlc-announced-first-details-confirmed\">the just-announced third expansion, Songs of the Past<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/support.cdprojektred.com\/en\/witcher-3\/pc\/sp-technical\/issue\/2973\/upcoming-changes-to-minimum-requirements-for-the-witcher-3-wild-hunt\">blog post<\/a>, the developer said that with new content coming to The Witcher 3, it will need to update its system requirements &#8220;to ensure smooth performance and compatibility going forward.&#8221; These requirements will become effective starting from the next update.<\/p>\n<p>The Witcher 3 new minimum requirements:<strong>CPU:<\/strong> AMD Ryzen 5 2600, Intel Core i5-8400<strong>GPU:<\/strong> NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660, AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB<strong>VRAM:<\/strong> 6 GB<strong>RAM:<\/strong> 12 GB<strong>Storage:<\/strong> 70 GB SSD<strong>OS:<\/strong> 64-bit Windows 11<\/p>\n<section data-transform=\"slideshow\" data-slug=\"every-cd-projekt-red-game-in-development\" data-value=\"every-cd-projekt-red-game-in-development\" data-type=\"slug\" data-caption=\"\">\n<p>CD Projekt said these minimum requirements reflect \u201chow hardware capabilities and software usage have evolved since we last changed the system requirements.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In particular:<\/p>\n<p>Windows 11 will be the minimum required OS for both The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 following Microsoft&#8217;s end of support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. Without ongoing security updates, official platform support, and continued GPU driver support, we will no longer test our games on Windows 10.
