{"id":84440,"date":"2026-06-14T22:48:21","date_gmt":"2026-06-15T02:48:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vgvote.com\/?p=84440"},"modified":"2026-06-14T23:36:41","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T03:36:41","slug":"director-confirmed-for-upcoming-dead-by-daylight-movie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vgvote.com\/?p=84440","title":{"rendered":"Director Confirmed for Upcoming Dead by Daylight Movie"},"content":{"rendered":"<section data-transform=\"mobile-ad-break\">\n<p>The upcoming Dead by Daylight movie will be helmed by Icelandic film director Thordur Palsson (The Damned, The Valhalla Murders), using a screenplay from Alexandre Aja (director of Never Let Go, Crawl, and Piranha 3D) and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick (the writer of three films in The Conjuring series, and both Aquaman films).<\/p>\n<p>The news was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/dead-by-daylight-10th-anniversary-broadcast-everything-announced\">announced during the Dead by Daylight 10th anniversary broadcast<\/a>, with Blumhouse founder Jason Blum and producer Stephen Mulrooney joining Palsson on stage.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For me, the main thing is capturing the feeling of playing Dead by Daylight,&#8221; said Palsson. &#8220;The main thing is I want to capture the feeling of looking over your shoulder.
