In a statement, EA said, &#8220;We will remove all paid progression options from Road to Glory and Online dynasty.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For anyone just catching up, CFB 27 launched with a microtransaction system that allowed players to pay real money to instantly improve their coach or athlete in the Online Dynasty and Road to Glory modes. Alternatively, players could grind for this, but the effort would be substantial.<\/p>\n<figure data-wp-interactive=\"core\/image\" class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-ref-id=\"1818702\" data-wp-on--click=\"actions.core.image.showLightbox\" style=\"cursor: zoom-in\" height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/CFB2027.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1818702\" \/>CFB 27 has done away with its most controversial MTX options. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> It&#8217;s also notable because Online Dynasty and Road to Glory were two modes that were largely untouched by microtransactions until this year. People mobilized a boycott of the pay-to-level options, and the #CFBPlayDontPay hashtag trended on social media.
