In its <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BethesdaStudios\/status\/2078117386935214101\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BethesdaStudios\/status\/2078117386935214101\">statement<\/a>, Bethesda said, &#8220;Starfield remains an important part of our future.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Starfield released in September 2023, so the game is now going into its third year. Bethesda said it will continue to expand the game with &#8220;new stories, targeted gameplay improvements, and additional updates.&#8221; There will be &#8220;new Starborn content&#8221; coming to the game in 2027, Bethesda added. <\/p>\n<figure data-wp-interactive=\"core\/image\" class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-ref-id=\"1823785\" data-wp-on--click=\"actions.core.image.showLightbox\" style=\"cursor: zoom-in\" height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/starfield_fb3c16.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1823785\" \/>Starfield fans are getting more Starfield in 2027. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The game reached more than 17 million people, but it hasn&#8217;t sold that many copies, as it&#8217;s also available on Xbox Game Pass. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Starfield got an expansion called Shattered Space in 2024, and the game expanded further from there with a PS5 release in 2026. An update called Free Lanes arrived in April 2026, along with a new story expansion called Terran Armada. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bethesda&#8217;s other updates today included the announcement that Fallout 5 has entered pre-production and that remasters of Fallout 3 and New Vegas are in the works.
