Call of Duty movie director and co-writer Peter Berg made an appearance at the event to share the news.<\/p>\n<p>Berg and co-writer Taylor Sheridan&#8217;s choice to set their Call of Duty movie in the Modern Warfare universe may come as much of a surprise for some fans, but it might finally give us some clues about its yet-to-be-detailed plot. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/games\/call-of-duty-4-modern-warfare\">Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare<\/a> was the first in Activision&#8217;s first-person shooter series to introduce players to a, well, more modern take on the franchise when it launched in 2007.
