The Resident Evil franchise has a history with this kind of thing, as a member of the production crew on Resident Evil: The Final Chapter was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/articles\/resident-evil-movie-crew-member-killed-in-filming\/1100-6433370\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/articles\/resident-evil-movie-crew-member-killed-in-filming\/1100-6433370\/\">killed from injuries he sustained during an on-set accident<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At Comic-Con, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.slashfilm.com\/2221339\/how-austin-abrams-avoided-dying-zach-cregger-resident-evil-set\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.slashfilm.com\/2221339\/how-austin-abrams-avoided-dying-zach-cregger-resident-evil-set\/\">Slash Film reported<\/a> that Cregger said there is a scene in the movie where Abrams&#8217; character, the medical courier Bryan, is running through a street, with zombies leaping from the tops of buildings at him. Cregger wanted to film this sequence practically instead of using CGI. <\/p>\n<p>  https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=mNd1gb19A-c  <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To film the scene, the production team created 150-pound &#8220;body-sized blood bags&#8221; that were dropped from cranes to create the effect.
