Zach Cregger is known for gore galore with his horror\/thriller movies Weapons and Barbarian, but his new Resident Evil movie<\/a> is “definitely the most violent” thing he’s ever made.<\/p>\n

He told this to Empire,<\/a> saying, “You gotta go grotesque” and “all the way” in terms of violence. “So it’s gnarly. It’s brutal. A very bloody affair,” he said. <\/p>\n

Beyond his directorial projects, Cregger appeared in countless sketches during his comedy days with Whitest Kids ‘U Know, and some of them were very violent. In “Sniper Business,”<\/a> Cregger’s character witnesses an intern getting shot through the eye with a sniper rifle. In the “Gallon of PCP” sketch, Cregger plays a character whose girlfriend only very recently got beheaded by a drug dealer<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Also in the interview, Cregger once again mentioned how he never sought out to make a Resident Evil movie that fleshed out more of the Resident Evil lore or explain in more detail how the T-virus works. <\/p>\n
