So far, it looks like tried-and-trusted Fire Emblem with its mix of turn-based strategy and character buildcrafting, but the biggest surprise was the reveal of the <em>ultimate <\/em>weapon class in the game&#8211;that&#8217;s right, the new Fire Emblem is packing heat.<\/p>\n<figure data-wp-interactive=\"core\/image\" class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-ref-id=\"1839738\" data-wp-on--click=\"actions.core.image.showLightbox\" style=\"cursor: zoom-in\" height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Fire-Emblem-Gun-2.jpg?w=636\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1839738\" \/>Always bring a gun to a swordfight. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While they aren&#8217;t explicitly referred to as guns, the livestream did describe gauntlets as weapons that &#8220;look like firearms&#8221; when you equip them. They certainly do have more firepower as well, as the brief snippet of footage showing one of these in action revealed a weapon capable of firing off lightning-empowered rounds. Are there concealed carry laws in the Dagdan Empire regarding gauntlets?
