For starters, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/articles\/fox-mccloud-is-in-the-super-mario-galaxy-movie-over-a-decade-since-his-last-game\/1100-6539028\/\">Fox McCloud had a pretty big presence in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie<\/a>, which made <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/articles\/the-super-mario-galaxy-movie-reaches-1-billion-and-its-the-first-2026-film-to-do-so\/\">over $1 billion worldwide at the box office<\/a>. Then, in June, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/articles\/star-fox-for-nintendo-switch-2-announced\/1100-6539827\/\">Star Fox, a remake of Star Fox 64, came out exclusively on Switch 2<\/a>. However, the strong marketing blitz hasn&#8217;t seemed to lead to a smash-hit sales success for the game&#8211;at least not yet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nintendo has released <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendo.co.jp\/ir\/pdf\/2026\/260806e.pdf\">new financial results<\/a> for April through June (the first quarter of fiscal 2027 for the company), and there are no dedicated sales numbers provided for Star Fox. Instead, it&#8217;s stated that the Switch 2 exclusive has &#8220;performed steadily&#8221;&#8211;a phrase also used for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/reviews\/yoshi-and-the-mysterious-book-is-about-curiosity-not-conquest\/1900-6418493\/\">Yoshi and the Mysterious Book<\/a>. We can glean that Star Fox failed to sell 1 million copies, since it&#8217;s missing from that list on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendo.co.jp\/ir\/pdf\/2026\/260806_2e.pdf\">other financial data<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To be fair to Star Fox, these fiscal results only cover six days of sales for the Switch 2 game.
