Announced earlier this year, the new model could cost as much as $900, and a new leak claims that it&#8217;ll be released on November 27. At the time of writing, that means you&#8217;d need to save up a little over $9 a day to afford this console.<\/p>\n<figure data-wp-interactive=\"core\/image\" class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-ref-id=\"1857732\" data-wp-on--click=\"actions.core.image.showLightbox\" style=\"cursor: zoom-in\" height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Xbox-25.jpg?w=636\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1857732\" \/>Would you pay extra for a limited-edition Xbox Series X? <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the usually reliable <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dealabs.com\/magazine\/exclusif-on-vous-devoile-le-prix-de-la-console-xbox-series-x25-en-edition-limitee-61674\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.dealabs.com\/magazine\/exclusif-on-vous-devoile-le-prix-de-la-console-xbox-series-x25-en-edition-limitee-61674\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dealabs<\/a>, this version of the Xbox Series X will cost $100 more than the current Xbox Series X, which features a &#8220;carbon black&#8221; design. That&#8217;s also the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/articles\/the-ps5-pro-is-still-worth-it-for-now\/1100-6539101\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">same price as a PlayStation 5 Pro<\/a>, following its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/articles\/ps5-price-increase-confirmed-by-sony-amid-market-pressures\/1100-6539060\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">price increase<\/a> earlier this year. While it&#8217;s not as powerful as Sony&#8217;s beefier machine, it does include a disc drive.
