{"id":88165,"date":"2026-08-25T16:06:38","date_gmt":"2026-08-25T20:06:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vgvote.com\/?p=88165"},"modified":"2026-08-25T16:37:35","modified_gmt":"2026-08-25T20:37:35","slug":"the-witcher-3-remastered-is-adding-dozens-of-upgrades-and-it-might-be-free-for-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vgvote.com\/?p=88165","title":{"rendered":"The Witcher 3 Remastered Is Adding Dozens Of Upgrades And It Might Be Free For You"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It may not be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/games\/the-witcher-4\/\">The Witcher 4<\/a>, but the first real look at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/games\/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt\/\">The Witcher 3&#8217;s<\/a> new DLC, Songs of the Past, might just make the wait a little easier, especially when it&#8217;s coming soon after a free upgrade to The Witcher 3 Remastered, as was newly revealed at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/articles\/gamescom-opening-night-live-2026-all-the-biggest-announcements-games-and-trailers\/\">Gamescom Opening Night Live<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Developer CD Projekt Red showed off the upcoming expansion (just <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/articles\/witcher-3s-songs-of-the-past-is-an-expansion-not-dlc\/\">don&#8217;t call it DLC<\/a>) as part of Gamescom Opening Night Live, revealing new details about the over-a-decade-later expansion coming to The Witcher 3. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But this came <em>after<\/em> the reveal of the game&#8217;s remastered version, whose changes and additions were numerous, including improved controls, a skill tree revamp, expanded photo mode, both past expansions, and tons more.
