Netflix and Sega have announced a new partnership that will see a Crazy Taxi film coming to the streaming service in 2027. Dan Gregor and Doug Mand are penning the comedy&#8217;s screenplay, after previously working together on Naked Gun (2025), Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and How I Met Your Mother.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There&#8217;s no director attached to the project, yet. However, Original Film&#8217;s Neal H. Moritz and Toby Ascher are producing the Crazy Taxi movie, alongside Sonic the Hedgehog series producer Toru Nakahara. &#8220;This film is for anyone who&#8217;s spent hours behind the wheel of a yellow cab on their Dreamcast, with the music cranked up, smashing through everything in sight just to make the next fare,&#8221; said Moritz and Ascher in <a href=\"https:\/\/about.netflix.com\/en\/news\/netflix-and-sega-announce-film-adaptation-of-the-video-game-crazy-taxi-as-part-of-new-multi-title-collaboration\">the Netflix press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Netflix and Sega collaboration also includes a new Sonic animated show aimed at &#8220;an upper preschool audience,&#8221; as well as a live-action movie based on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/articles\/stranger-than-heaven-combat-system-makes-both-your-hands-play-separate-roles\/\">Stranger Than Heaven<\/a>.
