But when could GTA 6&#8217;s online multiplayer release? According to Twitch CEO Dan Clancy, fans can expect it sometime in 2027.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said this in an interview with<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2026-09-17\/twitch-ceo-urges-game-firms-to-avoid-attention-vortex-of-gta-6\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2026-09-17\/twitch-ceo-urges-game-firms-to-avoid-attention-vortex-of-gta-6\"> Bloomberg<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/twitch-boss-says-game-companies-are-right-to-avoid-competing-with-gta-6-for-attention-expects-gta-online-2-next-year\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/twitch-boss-says-game-companies-are-right-to-avoid-competing-with-gta-6-for-attention-expects-gta-online-2-next-year\">via IGN<\/a>), saying Twitch spent &#8220;a lot of time talking with Rockstar about their plans.&#8221; He said Twitch stands to benefit from GTA 6&#8217;s release, too, because content creators will flock to it and stream footage on Twitch. Given that Clancy said his teams had been engaged with Rockstar, his comments come across as more than just random guesswork.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GTA 5 also did not launch with multiplayer support.
