{"id":89704,"date":"2026-09-17T12:50:19","date_gmt":"2026-09-17T16:50:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vgvote.com\/?p=89704"},"modified":"2026-09-17T17:41:43","modified_gmt":"2026-09-17T21:41:43","slug":"gta-online-will-be-supported-beyond-gta-6-release-pc-becoming-more-and-more-important","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vgvote.com\/?p=89704","title":{"rendered":"GTA Online Will Be Supported &#8216;Beyond&#8217; GTA 6 Release, PC &#8216;Becoming More and More Important&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<section data-transform=\"mobile-ad-break\">\n<p>Rockstar Games plans to support GTA Online &#8220;beyond&#8221; the launch of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/games\/grand-theft-auto-vi\">Grand Theft Auto 6<\/a>, parent company Take-Two has confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>During a recent shareholders meeting (via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.resetera.com\/threads\/take-two-reaffirms-gta-6-is-a-single-player-title-gta-online-will-be-supported-after-launch-and-beyond.1635922\/\">ResetEra<\/a>), Take-Two said &#8220;we will continue to support GTA Online after GTA 6 release and beyond.&#8221; Rockstar had already confirmed that GTA 6 is a single-player only game, so there won&#8217;t be a multiplayer mode when the game comes out in November. As a result, if you want your online Grand Theft Auto fix, you&#8217;ll have to divert your attention back to the original iteration of GTA Online.<\/p>\n<p>Presumably there will be another iteration of GTA Online later down the line, but it&#8217;s becoming increasingly unclear how and when it will be released. Will it be bundled with GTA 6 retroactively? Will it be a standalone game that players have to buy separately?<\/p>\n<section data-transform=\"ignvideo\" data-slug=\"gta-6-grand-theft-auto-6-official-extended-gameplay\" data-loop=\"\">\n<p>Twitch boss Dan Clancy, however, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/twitch-boss-says-game-companies-are-right-to-avoid-competing-with-gta-6-for-attention-expects-gta-online-2-next-year\">is convinced GTA 6 multiplayer will be released in 2027<\/a>.
