Sony and Bungie announced in May of this year that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/bungie-thanks-fans-with-first-look-at-monumental-destiny-2-update\">the Monument of Triumph update<\/a> would be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/bungie-walks-away-from-destiny-2-final-content-update-coming-in-june\">the last major Destiny 2 update<\/a> when it launched in June. While the content drop did manage to bring a significant spike in players as fans pleaded for the studio to not abandon the IP, no news of any future Destiny projects was ever announced, and before today, it didn&#8217;t seem like it ever would be.
