It certainly helped solve the game&#8217;s tank shortage problem, with more classes than ever before able to taunt enemies and effectively hold aggro.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/videos\/wow-forever-more-gameplay-details-and-lore-blizzcon-2026-interview\/\">interview<\/a> with GameSpot, WoW: Forever senior game designer Josh Greenfield said that while the team learned many lessons with Season of Discovery and carried many of those forward into Forever, more &#8220;out there&#8221; changes like Warlock tank or Mage healer didn&#8217;t make the jump.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI think in spirit, a lot of the lessons we learned are carried over, but some of the more out-there things that weren\u2019t originally in original WoW, we tone them back a little bit,\u201d Greenfield said. \u201cBecause it\u2019s one of those things\u2026It\u2019s in the name: It\u2019s Forever. We can do a lot of things over years, but we wanted to kind of start from a place where the soul of the class is very coded and original-WoW-centric.
