In an interview with GameSpot, WoW: Forever senior art director Jeff Parrott and senior game designer Josh Greenfield elaborated on how Blizzard approached developing these all-new zones so that they don&#8217;t feel out of place in a 22-year old game, as well as how they tried to capture how players &#8220;remember&#8221; Azeroth looking.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parrott said the team spent a lot of time looking back at the original, &#8220;vanilla&#8221; version of WoW and trying to understand how zones were designed back in 2004 when the game first released.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The team did a great job of just digging in there,&#8221; Parrott said. &#8220;Riverglades is a great example.
