Compared with Microsoft&#8217;s profitable\u00a0cloud computing and artificial intelligence businesses, Xbox has paled in comparison, and the gamble on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/articles\/new-xbox-ceo-admits-game-pass-bet-has-not-worked-out\/\">Xbox Game Pass<\/a> hasn&#8217;t paid off, despite Microsoft investing tens of billions in acquiring several video game publishers and studios over the years.
