Bethesda has released a new patch for Fallout 4 that updates the Creation Kit and makes a number of crash and bug fixes.
The update, out now for the 11-year-old open-world post-apocalyptic role-playing game, increases the BA2 archive limit from 256 to 1024 to better accommodate larger collections of mods, Bethesda said in patch notes published on Steam. Meanwhile, Creations up to 2GB in size can now be uploaded for Xbox.
As for crash fixes, Bethesda said the update fixed a crash when the player opens the Virtual Keyboard on a Steam Deck device, which will help out players on Valve’s handheld.
Bethesda had warned Fallout 4 players to log into their game before today’s update to save their load order. Once your load order is saved, you’ll be able to re-download your entire Creations list at once when the update is live.
Bethesda has said it’s also working on a Skyrim update, with details coming soon.
