Maggie Robertson has said she would accept any opportunity from Capcom to reprise her breakout role as Lady Dimitrescu in the Resident Evil series, calling the character her “firstborn.”
Lady Dimitrescu, the towering face of Capcom’s phenomenally successful 2021 game, Resident Evil Village, was Robertson’s first video game role, and it changed her life forever.
Speaking to IGN at gamescom while promoting her latest video game gig — the sultry and scheming Tasha in upcoming Dungeons & Dragons game Warlock, Robertson said the last five years had been a surreal experience.
“That game, that character changed my life in every way,” she said. “There’s no aspect of my life that has not been touched by that character. That was the very first game I ever did. And I had just done my graduate degree. I just came from a drama program. I lived the Hollywood dream in a surreal way. So I just graduated, moved to LA January 2019 and was throwing paint at the wall. I didn’t have an agent. I was just self-submitting for things, seeing what stuck.
