Sony has attended every edition of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) since it debuted in 1967, but that’s ending for the upcoming show in January 2027. This means there won’t be any PlayStation news, at least not directly from Sony.

The company confirmed to Bloomberg that it’s pulling out of the show this year following a strategic evaluation of its approach to “events and communications based on the needs and priorities of our diverse business.”

The company went on to say that today it’s putting more focus on “entertainment,” including games, anime, films, and music. CES, on the other hand, is primarily a technology show.
