Games developed by Hideo Kojima typically have an air of mystery, but for his upcoming horror project OD, the veteran game director wants to both terrify and mystify his fans. On a new episode of his weekly radio show Koji10, Kojima briefly spoke about the game, avoiding the release of teasers, and ensuring that players get a proper shock when playing it
“It’s still a mystery. That doesn’t mean we haven’t made the game,” Kojima said. “I want to keep quiet and release it. That’s unusual for me, isn’t it? I normally put out teaser after teaser. This time I don’t want to reveal much. A mystery. It’s so new that it’s a mystery. It aims to create a new experience and test the limits of what players can bear in terms of fear. The limits of fear, that’s the idea behind the title. The critical point of fear.”
