In the wake of the news that EA has closed down BioWare and ended development on Mass Effect 5, Archetype Entertainment—co-founded by former BioWare devs Chad Robertson, James Ohlen, and Drew Karpyshyn—has given players a brand-new look at its upcoming title, a very Mass-Effecty sci-fi RPG called Exodus.
Specifically, Archetype has revealed a visual rework of its male player-character model. When GameSpot previewed Exodus in late August, the male version of protagonist Jun Aslan could be seen sporting a five-o’-clock shadow and very different bone structure. Now, he has a whole new face. In a new video uploaded to Archetype’s YouTube channel today, Archetype general manager Chad Robertson showed off male-Jun’s new look, which he explained is a result of player feedback.

“We’ve seen your conversations and feedback over the last few months around our male Jun character model,” Robertson said. “We’ve been listening, and we take that feedback seriously. We’ve continued to refine Jun as we’ve worked on him and the rest of the game.”
Archetype hasn’t yet revealed Jun’s female character model, but the devs say her reveal is on the way.
