It didn’t even take a full week for Grand Theft Auto VI‘s second trailer to break 100 million views on YouTube. Though the video can be seen in other places as well (Rockstar Games confirmed just last week that the open-world title’s trailer hit almost a half-billion views after just a day), this is still an extremely impressive accomplishment.
Rockstar released the newest Grand Theft Auto VI trailer out of nowhere on May 6. The video confirmed that the game’s story will focus on Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, after the couple was seen a bit in the first trailer that debuted in late 2023. Another fascinating aspect of the second trailer is Rockstar noting that it was captured on PS5–as well as some PlayStation references.
Days before the trailer dropped, Rockstar revealed that Grand Theft Auto VI would be delayed to May 26, 2026. Previously, the game was set to arrive this fall. However, there was always skepticism about that release window because Rockstar has a lengthy history of delays.
