The Legend of Zelda: Collector’s Edition Chess Set is back in stock for $45 at Amazon on August 1. At the time of writing, the store page shows only 13 units remain, but yesterday that number was down to two, so it appears Amazon is replenishing its inventory in small batches. This new edition of Zelda-themed chess launched out of nowhere in early June and promptly sold out; it has largely remained out of stock since its release. Officially licensed by Nintendo, the set features gold and black figurines based on Hyrule’s biggest heroes and villains. We wouldn’t be surprised to see this sell out fast again.
If Amazon sells out, Barnes & Noble has units available for the same price. Meanwhile, scalpers on Walmart’s marketplace are trying to get $60-$80 for the set.
