Gearbox has just dropped a new update for Borderlands 4 on PC that targets some of the game’s glaring issues, particularly related to the looter-shooter’s stability.
Over on the game’s official website, the team announced that this new patch “improves stability on PC, smooths out progression, and updates the Gilded Glory Pack loot and rewards for a more seamless experience.” Gearbox specifically pointed to crashes around animations, audio, collision, and the GPU that should be resolved now.
The studio also addressed the loot and rewards around the Gilded Glory Pack, making it so that that gear no longer appears in standard chests, as well as fixing the Reward Center when claiming Gilded Glory Pack items. The Gilded Glory Pack is a preorder bonus that includes four pieces of legendary weapons and a cosmetic head.
This update comes after Borderlands 4, which had a successful Steam debut when it launched on September 12, saw a slew of criticism following the myriad issues the PC version faced. While the studio said addressing the complaints was a “top priority” for the team, Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford had some words for complainers.
Borderlands 4 is out now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, with a Nintendo Switch
