Xbox’s December update is here, and this time it’s focused on your off-console experience. The update brings new store functionality to the Xbox mobile app, as well as adding Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) Audio support to the Xbox Wireless Headset, improving battery life and audio quality with certain Windows 11 devices.
In April, Microsoft added the ability to purchase games and subscribe to Game Pass directly from the Xbox app. Now, making it even easier to buy games from your phone, the app is getting a store tab for quicker browsing. The update also adds your Wishlist to the app, as well as allowing you to search for add-ons directly in the app. The update is rolling out now across iOS and Android devices.
Microsoft is also rolling out a firmware update for the Xbox Wireless Headset that’ll add support for Bluetooth LE Audio, a Windows 11 feature that not only improves battery life, but also boosts audio quality. The update boasts lower latency, longer battery life, and super wideband stereo audio for voice chat.
Microsoft is also previewing a new shared-audio feature on Windows 11, which will let you broadcast your game audio to multiple Bluetooth accessories. This update is currently only
