Battlefield Redsec, the battle royale spin-off of Battlefield 6, is getting a new Solos playlist for everyone to try very soon. Fans had been asking for it since launch, and it’s finally coming, albeit in an early “experimental” form, and only for a limited time.
Redsec Solos will be available during the March 6-9 weekend as a Battlefield Labs test, but, unlike other previous Labs tests, this one is open to everyone in the live version of the game.
“The goal of the test is to gather feedback and assess how Redsec’s pacing, balance, and tension hold up in a true one-versus-everyone format. This mode is experimental and subject to change,” Battlefield Studios said.
The team added that the aim is to gather data in the game’s live version, as opposed to the smaller-scale, invite-only Labs. Battlefield Studios added that the plan is to “occasionally” add more of these kinds of tests for the live version of the game to gather more data in a live environment.
Redsec launched without a solos playlist, with design director Justin Wiebe saying the studio prioritized the “squad-based experience” that defines Battlefield. Wiebe also said a solos playlist was “not something you just turn on and just say,
