Nvidia has unveiled its new upscaling technology, DLSS 5, which it’s calling “a dramatic leap in visual realism.” However, early examples look an AI filter applied to video game faces that change the features of characters like Resident Evil Requiem‘s Grace Ashcroft. Some fans have already dubbed it the “Yassify Filter” for the unnatural way it attempts to make characters appear more attractive.
Players didn’t take long to start roasting the new tech, and DLSS 5ed faces and characters have already become a meme. Please note, however, that the examples below aren’t actually made using the new DLSS 5 technology. Or, at least, we hope that’s the case.
