Hitman developer IO Interactive is aiming to put its own spin on James Bond in 007 First Light, but one longstanding tradition is making its way into this adventure: a Bond song. From Shirley Bassey to Chris Cornell, Bond movies have always attracted some of the best performers of their era, and for 007 First Light, IO Interactive recruited award-winning performer Lana Del Rey to perform and create the title track, which shares the same name as the game. You can listen for yourself in the video embedded below.
And overall? It’s a pretty great song! Del Rey’s First Light track sounds like it’d fit right in with a modern-day Bond movie, and that’s no surprise, as composer David Arnold also worked on the track. Arnold was the composer for five consecutive James Bond movies, starting with Tomorrow Never Dies in 1997 and continuing through to 2008’s Quantum of Solace.
