Forza Horizon 6 launches over the next week on Xbox Series X|S and PC, but the game is also headed to PlayStation 5–just not right away. Microsoft and developer Playground have not confirmed a specific release date for the PS5 edition, but the company has provided a window for when fans can expect it.
When is Forza Horizon 6 coming to PS5?
As announced during the Xbox Developer Direct event in January this year, Forza Horizon 6 is coming to PlayStation 5 “later in 2026.” That doesn’t tell us much, but it is at least confirmation that the racing game will head to Sony’s console this year.
This means PS5 players will have to wait 230 days at the very most (that’s May 15-December 31) to play Forza Horizon 6 after it launches on PC and Xbox. No one would expect the PS5 edition to launch on the last day of the year, so the wait will surely be shorter than that.
Microsoft has not explained why, specifically, it’s staggering the console releases for Forza Horizon 6. The company does not have a one-size-fits-all approach to multiplatform releases.
