Paradox Interactive is working on a Cities: Skylines LEGO spinoff, a newly-leaked ratings board listing for the game suggests.
LEGO Skylines has been rated by the ever-leaky Korean ratings board, which listed the game ahead of its formal announcement, as first spotted by Gematsu. IGN has contacted Paradox Interactive for more.
While details remain scarce, Cities: Skylines fans are digesting the idea of a LEGO-ified version of their favorite city-building simulation. Thematically, the idea of a LEGO city builder makes perfect sense — though fans naturally have concerns over the shape it’ll arrive in, following the rocky reception to Cities: Skylines 2.
“How tf are they doing that when 2 is still in the shape it is in?” wrote one Cities: Skylines fan in a lengthy reddit thread discussing the leak. “Can’t wait! See you three years after release when the game is somewhat playable!” quipped another.
While Paradox is listed as the game’s publisher, it remains unclear who is actually developing the game — and whether any of Paradox’s own studios are involved. The original Cities: Skylines and its sequel were created by Finnish studio Colossal Order, which parted ways with Paradox last year.
