No Batman game would feel complete without a trip to the Batcave, and that’s a tradition that many Caped Crusader games have upheld over the decades. In Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, players will get to frequently visit Batman’s high-tech hideout, but with a twist, growing and expanding it over time.
Developer TT Games has revealed how players will build their very own crime-fighting headquarters, as the Batcave starts as nothing more than a glorified hole situated underneath Wayne Manor. In a nod to Batman Begins, Bruce Wayne will discover his future lair at a young age and will once again return to it, expanding and transforming the location into his primary base of operations.
As players progress through the game, they’ll be able to display their collection of batsuits–including recent reveals like the Batman Ninja samurai armor and the hulking Absolute Batman batsuit–and marvel at a garage full of Batmobiles. The collection of vehicles encompasses practically every era of Batman, from Adam West’s iconic speedster with red pinstriping to Val Kilmer’s H.R. Giger-inspired roadster and modern vehicles like the Pattmobile from 2022’s The Batman.
